CorndryingGoal

The Swedish Research Network: Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry for Development () was founded in 2009 with the overall goal of contributing to agricultural development and poverty alleviation in developing countries by stimulating the utilisation, and growth, of Swedish research competence.

Objectives

The network aims to:

1) be a portal that will allow an overview of current Swedish research and educational competence in pro-poor agricultural development

2) encourage and support multidisciplinary research and interaction

3) address broad thematic issues related to pro-poor growth in agriculture and forestry

4) add further value to existing agricultural and forestry research by increasing communication and cooperation among Swedish researchers, and between Swedish and international expertise, globalfunding agencies, development organisations, companies, NGOs, and civil society

5) promote sustainable development through the agricultural sciences (including forestry, fisheries, veterinary practice and horticulture)
