Agricultural Research for Development is the name of the annual multi/inter-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder conference on agriculture, livestock and forest research in an international development context. It is organised by the four networks Agri4D (www.Agri4D.se), SIANI (www.SIANI.se), Focali (www.focali.se) and Future Agriculture (www.slu.se/futureagriculture/). |
The network will arrange virtual and physical meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences to:
- make the research and educational competence of the members visible and accessible to a variety of target groups
- provide the opportunity to seek partners for research or educational initiatives
- discuss and analyse broad thematic issues related to pro-poor growth in agriculture and forestry
- support multidisciplinary research among members
- provide partial funding of selected studies or proposals that may lead to new/broader research contexts
- facilitate the emergence of new, joint education initiatives
- produce policy briefs
- provide links and synergies with other networks and initiatives
- disseminate news related to the network
- make relevant international agricultural development research accessible
- inform about other actors in the sector, including international actors
- inform about new initiatives and research funding opportunities
